The electromechanical engineering department team wins the championship for the second year in row 

   The Electromechanical Engineering Department team won the basketball championship for the second year in a row after winning the Computer Science Department team’s in the final (51-31). The team started his winning the first-round match VS the Applied Sciences team (21 - 0) to qualify and meet the mechanical engineering team and won (33 – 10). In the semi - final the team played VS the Department of Civil Engineering, and the game finished (16 - 7) before playing the final.

Scientific visiting for 3^rd year students of the navigation engineering and guidance branch to the General Company for Air Navigation Services

 In pursuance of the directives of the Head of Electromechanical Engineering Department Dr. Hosham Salim Anead in supporting and developing the educational march, the Department of Electromechanical Engineering organized a scientific visitng for the 3^rd stage students of the Navigation Engineering Department to the General Company for Air Navigation Services under the supervision of the Head of Branch, And members of the scientific visits committee.

The visit was aimed at linking theoretical and practical studies in the company. The subject is related to the theoretical material and the radar systems (available radars, antennas of all types, transmitters and receiving devices in general), navigation theory and systems (control tower devices, navigational systems available and satellites).

 The students were accompanied by the officials and engineers who are specialists (electricity and mechanics) of the company and the work of presenting the scientific subjects and a questionnaire to the students to know the extent of student acquisition of the scientific material in the field of specialization has visited students important places in the company and to know closely the equipment and equipment used and the duty of the company within the Ministry transportation.

In conclusion, it was agreed to develop future plans for scientific visits and summer training and the work of a joint committee between the University of Technology / Electromechanical Engineering Department and the General Company for Air Navigation Services to develop the vocabulary of the curriculum to serve the company to provide future employment opportunities for students in the said company.

  The Head of the Department represents the University of Technology in celebration of Al Ain Foundation for Social Welfare

      Head of the Electromechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Hosham Salim Anead, represented the President of the University of Technology at the closing ceremony of the "Khair Print" campaign launched by the Al Ain Foundation for Social Welfare in various Iraqi universities. 

The head of the department said in his speech to the attendees that the care of orphans is the responsibility of all should participate actively in the donation campaigns launched by Al Ain Foundation for Social Welfare blessed the efforts made by the Foundation in the service of orphans of Iraq.

The University of Technology won the most humane university for this year as it has surpassed all universities participating in the fundraising campaign to collect donations, as the amount of donors to more than 12 million Iraqi dinars, where the contribution achieved by UOT Employers and students.

 The Department of Electromechanical Engineering holds the first student festival for scientific and technical productions

        In conjunction with the celebrations of the University of Technology on its forty-fourth anniversary, the Department of Electromechanical Engineering held the first student festival on Thursday 18/4/2019 in the presence of the President of the University of Technology Prof. Amin Douai Thamer and the Head of Electromechanical Engineering Department Dr. Hosham Salim Anead and a number of department heads Professors, associates and students from the department.

The festival included the opening of the scientific and technical exhibition by the President of the University of Technology where he looked at the scientific and technical products by the students of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, praising the innovative mentality enjoyed by the students and wishing success to all.

The head of the electromechanical engineering department, Dr. Hosham Salim, said that this festival reflects the student's response to the scientific material received by his professors, as well as the works of art that reflect the human spirit of the university student, blessing them these wonderful products

Workshop on using of the vitally fluids as an alternative to mineral fluids

 The Department of Electromechanical Engineering held a workshop entitled "The Possibility of Using vitally Fluids as an Alternative to Metal Fluids in Hydraulic Systems" by Dr. Mohamed Hassan Jebel. The workshop discussed the bio-friendly alternative alternatives (vegetable fluids) and how to use them to reduce the environmental damage resulting from using of the plant fluids by adding some improved elements. The workshop showed the interventions by the lecturers present on the subject and how to use this method in research and scientific experiments.
