The Department of Electromechanical Engineering is organizing a workshop on the Bologna Process for students.

 

The Electromechanical Systems Engineering and Unmanned Aerial Systems Engineering branches in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering conducted a workshop explaining the Bologna Process on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in the Al-Kindi Hall. Asst attended the seminar. Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hameed Raja and Asst. Prof. Dr. Israa Saad Ahmed, along with the first-year students in the branches,.

The workshop, delivered by the Head of the Registration Department, Engineer Fatima Hamed, aimed to familiarize students with the Bologna Process. It covered various topics, including the program's operation, how to access it, attendance tracking, weekly schedule monitoring, and report and assignment grade inquiries. The workshop emphasized that the students attend daily lectures and be responsible for every given assignment during the course.

End of the First Course Exams

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology concluded the first-course exams for both morning and afternoon sessions on Saturday, January 13, 2024, for the academic year 2023-2024. The first-course exams were conducted smoothly and coordinated, and students demonstrated a solid commitment to the instructions for the examinations.

The dean of the Electromechanical Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ghassan Abdulhussein Bilal expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the examination process and its high level of organization. He commended the role of the dean assistants, branch heads, examination committees, and supervisors. He also praised the students for their high commitment to the regulations set by the department and the university.

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering organized a workshop on the Bologna Program for the students.

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering, specifically the Navigation and Guidance Engineering branch at the University of Technology, conducted a workshop titled "Bologna Program" on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, in Al-Kindi Hall. The first-year students of the branch attend the workshop.

The Head of the Navigation and Guidance Engineering branch delivered the workshop with Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jawad Mohammed and the faculty member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Suad Hamza Abbas. They aimed to familiarize the students with the Bologna Program and its process. The workshop covered various aspects, including the program's functionality, accessing it, checking attendance, monitoring the weekly schedule, and reviewing grades for reports and assignments. Dr. Mohammed emphasized daily attendance and being responsible for what would be assigned to them during the course.

The Women's Empowerment Unit of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering Participates in a Solidarity Stand with the Women of Gaza

The Women's Empowerment Unit of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology participated in a solidarity stand organized by the Minister's Office/Women's Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The main focus of the stand was to announce the solidarity of Iraqi women with the women of Gaza. The stand took place in Tahrir Square in Baghdad.

The head of the Women's Empowerment Unit of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, Ms. Aasifa Mahdi Mohammed, said that this solidarity stand expresses the importance of the role of women and their participation in standing with the women of Gaza due to the violations committed by the Zionist occupation.

Units of women's empowerment from ministries, universities, and organizations also participated in the stand, where they praised the steadfastness of Palestinian women. They raised banners condemning the genocide against Palestinian women, children, and elders.

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering discussed a Master's dissertation to Improve Ventilation Systems by Integrating with Hybrid PV/Thermal Collectors.

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology discussed a master's dissertation entitled "Performance Enhancement of Ventilation System by Corporate with Hybrid PV/Thermal Collector, " submitted by the researcher Zahra Waleed Rashid.

Goals were achieved using a precise electronic processor to create a smart ventilation system for greenhouses integrated with a hybrid photovoltaic/thermal collector to cool the photovoltaic panel and control the ventilation system.

The researcher recorded an increase in the efficiency, between 15.48% and 20.50%. The electrical power generation is increased by about 37.38%, and the total airflow in the system is also increased to values between 45.36% and 78.37% during sunny days.

The thesis discussion ended by awarding the student a Master of Science Degree with honors.
