The Department of Electromechanical Systems Engineering College has been granted education accreditation for the next 6 years.
The Iraqi Council of Accreditation for Engineering Education decided to grant the bachelor’s program in the Electromechanical Systems Engineering Branch in the Electromechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology program accreditation for six years starting from the academic year (2023-2024). According to this accreditation, the college will show this on the graduation certificates for six batches from the academic year batch (2023-2024) until the academic year batch. (2028-2029). This accreditation is granted after the approval of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi,
The Council also decided to review the achievements of learning outcomes upon graduation of the first batch under the new academic system to consider whether to continue the accreditation for six years. This is illustrated in Paragraph One of the fourth meeting report of the Council, which was held on (3/9/2024) due to the new Bologna Academic System, which started in the first academic year (2023-2024).
The accreditation emphasizes maintaining compliance with the National Standards for Accreditation of Engineering Education programs amended in 2018 and any new requirements. It also has to keep the continuous improvement process and submit an update of the self-evaluation reports for the academic year (2026-2027).
