Award of Master's Degree in Energy and Renewable Energy

The student Saja Hassan Zubun, at the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, University of Technology, presented and defended her dissertation, "Thermal Investigation of a Solar Air Heater with Recycling System for Special Medical Application." The work aimed to obtain a high air temperature out of a solar heater by recycling. The researcher concluded that increasing the portion of the returned air leads to an increase in the temperature of the exhausted air. In addition to that, a wax container was used as thermal storage to provide additional operating hours after sunset. Further, a simulation compares the practical results to the mathematical model using the FORTRAN programming language. An acceptable match between the experimental and theoretical results is satisfied.
The Defence Committee voted to award the student a Master Degree with an Excellent Grade.
